Fig. 2 Divide 4 pieces (0-15, 15-30, 30-60 and 60-100cm) and sample 8cm soil core in each piece and put the soil cores into Mason jars.

Fig. 5 Collect gas samples from Mason jars 3, 6 and 16hrs later after starting incubation.

Changed batteries and inserted dessicant bags for HOBO dataloggers in JWB and JWG.

We still need to change batteries for a datalogger in RCG.

Gas sampling, intact soil core sampling and a data logger issue

Collected gas samples in LWG,LWB,RCG,RWG,RWB,JWB and JWG.

Collected intact soil cores in the sites.

Took out old soil bags in RCG, RWB,and RWG and buried new soil bags in the sites.

The data logger of LWB was damaged by recent flooding, so we took out the data logger. We left a soil moisture and temperature sensors in the site.
