Collected gas samples in RWB, RWG, RCG and GCF.

Soil was frozen so we used an electric drill to make holes and then inserted soil thermometers inside the holes.






Installed 12 mesh bags with corn residuals (20.0g) around gas sampling points in RCF (crop field).

Installed orange flags aroud gas chamber anchors and orange tapes around trees to make easy finding sampling points when snow covers the sites.

Fig. 2 Divide 4 pieces (0-15, 15-30, 30-60 and 60-100cm) and sample 8cm soil core in each piece and put the soil cores into Mason jars.

Fig. 3 Analyze nitrate and ammonia using residual soils.

Fig. 4 Incubate soils in 12oC

Fig. 5 Collect gas samples from Mason jars 3, 6 and 16hrs later after starting incubation.

Collected gas samples in LWB, LWG, RWG, RWB, RCG, JWG and JWB.

Changed batteries and inserted dessicant bags for HOBO dataloggers in JWB and JWG.

We still need to change batteries for a datalogger in RCG.
